How to get prestige?

I have seen many players with slow running prestige. You should consider that Evony is not a single dimensional game. If you just attack other you can get just a few prestige. Or if you just keep building and upgrading you will have same problem.
You can get prestige from:

• Upgrade buildings
• Research in academy 
• Training troops
• War

You will finish building and research in academy one day but you can train troops and go for war for ever.

The fastest way to get prestige is training troops, but you need resources for training. So, upgrade your city resource fields first and then keep upgrading, research and training troops in parallel.

After training a lot of troops then your food production will be negative so you need some ballista to farm NPC5 and fight with enemy.

If you lose some troops then you can train again and this loop give you prestige very fast. If you have 100k archers then you can go NPC10 farming which is the best way to get 19 min food + 1000 prestige + 1.8 mil experience for your hero. You will lose 5-35k archers for each farming and you need to train more archers which give you more prestige.

As a brief, you can follow these steps:

1- Upgrade you city's resource field (sawmill+ iron-mine+farm+quarry) to get more resources.

2- Train 550 ballista + 550 transporter in each city.

3- Farm NPC5 by 550 ballista + 550 transporter.

4- Train 100k archer.

5- Farm NPC10
